1972Yingkou Medium Plate Plant, the predecessor of the company, was founded as a local state-owned medium and heavy plate manufacturer.

II. Restructuring into Minmetals Yingkou Medium Plate (2002–2011)

June 21, 2002Joint venture established between Yingkou Medium Plate Plant and China Minmetals Group, founding Minmetals Yingkou Medium Plate Co., Ltd., marking the first major corporate restructuring.

III. Rizhao Steel Shareholding Period (2011–2024)

2011Rizhao Steel acquired equity stake. The enterprise developed into a full-process steel manufacturer held by central state-owned enterprise with private capital participation.

2023Honored as China Outstanding Steel Enterprise Brand. Its ship plates were awarded the Most Competitive Product in China Metallurgical Industry.

IV. Acquisition and Renaming by Jingye Group (2024–2025)

September 28, 2024Fully acquired by Jingye Group and listed as one of its seven production bases. The company was officially renamed from Rizhao Steel Yingkou Medium Plate to Jingye (Yingkou) Medium Plate Co., Ltd.

March 31, 2025Legal representative changed from Feng Weifu to Cao Xijun, completing management handover.

2025Certified as a National High-tech Enterprise.Ranked No.1 nationwide in medium and heavy plate exports for 13 consecutive years. Ship plates obtained certification from ten classification societies.The No.3 new blast furnace (2430m³) started construction in January and entered trial operation at year-end, with designed annual molten iron output of 2.069 million tons.EU CE certification expanded to cover 140 steel grades, filling the gap in high-grade certification for wide and heavy plates.

V. Recent Development in 2026

2026Approved as Provincial Technological Innovation Center.The No.3 new blast furnace is scheduled for official operation in the second half of the year, replacing four small blast furnaces. It achieves over 99.9% dust removal efficiency and greatly reduces pollutant emissions.A 3000mm medium and heavy plate production line is planned to advance high-end and green industrial upgrading.
